About The Artist

I am currently studying at Southampton Solent University for an MA in Visual Communication. I would describe myself as a photographer who focuses on staged photography and self portraiture. Whilst working on my degree I became especially interested in taking photographs of myself disguised as an alter-ego, Alma. The themes I have explored as Alma include control, obsession and sadness as well as exploring gender stereotype roles.

This website has been created in a blog style format, written from the perspective of Alma’s husband who has added short commentaries for each series.
